Cardiovascular Screenings
For a great number of people, the first sign of cardiovascular disease is a major cardiovascular incident such as a heart attack, stroke, or angina. We recommend a yearly screening for anyone over the age of 40 to help detect a patient’s potential risk.
Because heart disease can be the "silent killer," there is a need for inexpensive, non-invasive early detection of heart disease in the general population who may not think they are at risk for heart disease. The Naturopathic Clinic of Concord is committed to the prevention of chronic disease through the delivery of affordable detection and prevention programs.
Our comprehensive Cardiovascular Screenings include two simple tests called Cardio Vision and Cholestech that give you instant results. You can have either one or both tests performed. You can and should be tested on a regular basis.
Cardio Vision — This FDA approved non-invasive test measures the build up of plaque in blood vessels which is called the Arterial Stiffness Index, a major indicator of cardiovascular disease. It also detects early cardiovascular abnormalities that could otherwise go undetected. The Cardio Vision test is a non-invasive, relatively inexpensive prevention tool for those who may not even know they are at risk of heart disease.

Cholestech (A Full Lipid Test) — For patients with a history of high cholesterol or those seeking to quickly monitor their cholesterol level our in-office, the Cholestech test provides results on total cholesterol, HDL, total/HDL ratio, glucose and triglyceride levels — in five minutes.
Our test meets all relevant National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) guidelines for precision and accuracy. With just a simple finger prick, the unit provides an easy to read print out.
